OBJECTIVE
My objective is to continue to use my experience serving guests in an environment
that I can be proud of.
QUALIFICATIONS
I have a wide variety of bartending and
serving experience. I like this profession because I am outgoing, friendly, responsible
and a team player. I enjoy the satisfaction of giving outstanding service.
EMPLOYMENT
6/06-12/07
Manager,
R Bar and Grill (Renton, WA)
I supervised a full staff and delegated tasks essential to successful operations. This included coordinating schedules, reviewing employee performance, collaborating with the kitchen on
menu development, planning promotional events, executing strategies to improve efficiency, compiling financial reports and
many other duties needed to oversee the bar. As a result, I gained the knowledge
of how to efficiently run a small business while complying with government regulations and bureaus.
1/06-6/06
Bartender,
Classics Sports Bar and Grill (Renton, WA)
Classics is a busy sports bar in Renton.
I bartended at Classics until I was asked to manage R Bar (owned by the same owner) and for a short while after the
sale of R Bar.
10/04-1/06
Bartender,
Four Corners Bar and Grill (Maple Valley, WA)
At Four Corners my duties included serving tables in conjunction with bartending,
pulling and reconciling pull tabs, setting up/breaking down the bar, garnish and supply prep, cash handling, inventory, settling
cash drawers and night supervisory duties.
12/03-10/04
Bartender,
Vinnie’s Bar and Grill (Maple Valley, WA)
Vinnie’s was an independently owned biker bar. My duties included setting up/breaking down the bar, prep for the night shift, cash handling, serving tables
in conjunction with bartending and occasionally cooking.
9/03-12/03
Bartender,
Fox Sports Grill (Seattle, WA)
I served the customers at the bar top (including a full-menu), manned a very
busy service well and took care of standing guests. At the end of the night I
broke down the wells, closed up the bar, and counted down my drawer for a blind drop.
As a result, I honed my sense of urgency without appearing to be rushed.
7/01-9/03
Bartender,
The Cheesecake Factory (Seattle, WA)
The Cheesecake Factory is a high-volume establishment. I had the same duties as above, but with an emphasis on blended drinks and martinis. My additional duties were to inventory and order the beer, wine and alcohol, to write the bar schedules
and to maintain the liquor room and beer cooler. I was a bar server for the first
three months employed, when I was promoted.
The Cheesecake Factory taught me to gracefully handle high volume and stress
while multi-tasking.
9/96-7/01
Server/Cocktail
Server, Barnabys (Tukwila, WA)
While working for Barnabys, I hosted, served, banquet served and cocktailed. Barnabys is a steak and seafood house, so while there I learned a great deal about
wine, meat grades and different seafood. I also handled cash, took reservations
and sat tables. Barnabys laid a solid foundation for outstanding service and
teamwork.
